Exciting Growth Ahead: Midtown Commons Takes Shape with Miramonte and Missoula

Miramonte Partners with the City of Missoula on Midtown Commons Redevelopment.

We’re proud to share that the Missoulian recently featured Miramonte Companies and our partnership with the City of Missoula in shaping the vision for Midtown Commons — a new mixed-use community planned for 13 acres near Southgate Mall.

Miramonte was selected by the City as the developer for the Midtown Commons property, which will include new single-family and multi-family homes, commercial space, and a 1.5-acre public park designed to serve the surrounding neighborhood.

According to the Missoulian, “Miramonte is working directly with the city as a partner to design and build out the area,” aligning the project with the City’s 2023 Midtown Master Plan. Early site concepts show planned roadways, park placement, and housing layouts that will be available for the community to review at an open house hosted by the City and Miramonte.

Miramonte CEO Chris Kemmerly noted that hundreds of homes could eventually be built at Midtown Commons. The first phase is expected to include a section of single-family homes under existing zoning, with work beginning as soon as possible.

The City of Missoula and the Missoula Redevelopment Agency are also exploring infrastructure improvements and the addition of nearby parcels to enhance connections and access to the new community.
